Mint Hair Lounge is a modern salon in Yellowknife known for its elevated client experience, skilled stylists, and welcoming atmosphere. Focused on personalized service and contemporary hair care, the salon offers professional styling, colouring, and treatments that help clients look and feel their best.
The Approach
This project focused on aligning the brand with the experience delivered in-salon. Mint Hair Lounge had a strong foundation, but there was an opportunity to refine how the brand showed up visually to better reflect its modern, elevated approach.
I developed a cohesive visual identity that enhances the salon’s presence while maintaining a clean and approachable feel. The brand was then extended across key touchpoints, including signage, marketing materials, and merchandise, creating a consistent and recognizable experience both inside and outside the salon.

The visual identity extends the fluid elegance of the logo through clean typography, soft colour contrasts, and a continuous line motif inspired by the movement of hair. Carried across brand applications, this element creates a cohesive visual system that reflects Mint Hair Lounge’s modern sophistication and elevated salon experience.
The logo was designed to reflect the movement and artistry behind hairstyling. The custom “M” was hand drawn to capture the fluid motion of hair, symbolizing the evolution of styles, cuts, and personal expression. This flowing gesture brings a sense of softness and sophistication to the mark while creating a distinctive visual anchor for the Mint Hair Lounge brand.
Following the development of their brand, I have continued to support their growth through the creation of expanded brand touchpoints, including social media advertisements and in-salon signage. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to maintain consistency across platforms while enhancing visibility and client engagement. This ongoing support ensures the brand continues to feel cohesive, current, and aligned with the high-quality experience they deliver in salon.
